| 258 Balancing Instrument |
The IRD Balancing Model 258 instrument combines basic analysis functions and balancing capabilities into a single compact, lightweight, palm-sized package.
The Model 258 instrument incorporates large, easy-to-follow, with graphical presentation, simple
navigation and comprehensive clear information. The Analysis mode allows the user to confirm that the machine in question does indeed have a balance problem
before attempting a correction for balancing. The Main Menu screen for the Model
258 offers several options – Balancing, Analysis, Bump Test,
Help and Instrument Setup.
The Model 258 instrument is built on a proven hardware platform It has two simultaneous
vibration inputs and a reference input for speed and phase
angle measurement. In addition to the internal memory storage space,
the Model 258 uses an ATA FLASH memory card to store data.
Based on a Windows CE ™ Operating system, the Model 258 instrument is easy to
use and the need for training is minimized. Any set-up, weight, or run screen can be reviewed
easily from any screen display. All instrument collection settings can be checked. This feature ensures confidence and removes any doubt regarding a proper point set-up or configuration prior to taking field measurements.
The Model 258 Kit (P/N E00349) comes complete and ready to go for 2-plane balancing applications in the field. It incorporates the basic instrument, memory card, 2 accelerometers,
laser speed sensor with mounting arm, weight scale, battery charger, all interconnecting cables, documentation, and a lockable hard-shell carrying case.
